What's a Vehicle Wrap?
Also known as a mobile billboard, is the marketing practice of completely covering (wrapping) a vehicle in an advertisement or livery, thus turning it into a mobile billboard. This can be achieved by simply painting the vehicle surface, but it is becoming more common today to use large vinyl sheets as decals. These can be removed with relative ease, making it much less expensive to change from one advertisement to another. Vehicles with large, flat surfaces, such as buses and light-rail carriages, are fairly easy to work with, though smaller cars with curved surfaces can also be wrapped in this manner.1
What does it mean to my company?
"Industry analysts, researchers and trade representatives have researched the effectiveness of mobile billboards. Outdoor Advertising Magazine said that outdoor mobile media billboards have a 97% recall rate, and 96% of survey respondents thought mobile advertising is more effective than traditional outdoor advertising. 3M and the American Trucking Association noted 91% of the target noticed the text and graphics on truck advertising, and the Traffic Audit Bureau noted that on local routes monthly impressions ranged from one to four millions hits. Product Acceptance and Research said 94% of respondents recalled seeing the Mobile Billboard, with 80% recalling the specific advertisement; the billboards resulted in a sales increase of 107%."1
Why choose Brewer Sign Studio?
At Brewer Sign Studio you will receive effective high impact art. That captivates the eye and gets your message across. We use the highest quality materials, 3M control tac and over laminate. We have the expertise and know how of over 29 years in the business. We do not use lesser materials or cut corners in installation process. Doing so would reduce the overall look, quality, and longevity.
How long does it take?
The designing portion takes usually 1 to 4 days. Depending on the level detail of the art work and how quick a decision can be made of the final design.
The actual vehicle wrap portion takes 1-3 days depending on the size of the vehicle, and the complexity of the vehicle. For example rivets, handles, lights, complex curves, emblems, access panels, wheel wells, and doors all add extra time to installation. We take extra care of removing and reinstalling lights and handles to give the vehicle wrap a super clean look.
Will it damage the vehicle?
No a vehicle wrap will not damage the paint or glass. It actually will preserve the paint due to the fact that the suns rays do not penitrate the vinyl, and the vinyl wrap covers the paint protecting it from air oxidation. So when the Vehicle wrap is removed the paint is as fresh as the day the wrap was put on. 3M control tac also is designed to be removed easily which is why we use it over the cheaper brands.
How long will it last?
A typical vehicle wrap will last about 3-6 years depending on how well it is maintained. Vehicle wrap material is very similar to paint. The cleaner you keep it and the less exposure to sunlight the longer it will last. We have special methods and cleaners that will help your vehicle wrap reach or exceede its maximum life expectancy.
